Recent University decisions have forced the CFA to file an unusually high number of grievances over the past two years: There are now 30 active grievances about violations of faculty rights.

Every February, people in Canada and the United States celebrate Black History Month. Across these two countries events and festivities are organized to honour the legacy of Black people and members of the African diaspora and their communities. We want to acknowledge that Black workers, activists, and scholars have had a profound impact in pushing the labour movement to where it is today.

The Capilano Faculty Association supports the family of Mahsa Amini and joins the protestors around the world who condemn the appalling way in which Mahsa lost her life. We also wish to express our support for those who continue to protest the unconscionable conditions the women of Iran have been subject to since the 1979 revolution in Iran.
